Where We’d Send You Based on What You’re Celebrating

When there’s a reason to celebrate, the destination and the feeling of the trip needs to match the moment.

A big birthday or a special anniversary probably deserves more than your usual long weekend.

And if you’ve finally quit the job you’ve been talking about leaving for three years? We need somewhere with a very good pool and absolutely no access to your old inbox.

So, if you told us what you were celebrating, here’s where we’d start…

30th birthday → Vietnam

Thirty calls for a proper adventure.

Vietnam gives you a perfect mix of amazing food, beautiful hotels, busy cities, beaches and places that feel like you’re stepping into a new chapter.

Start with a few days eating your way around Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. Then, head somewhere slower like Hoi An – a place the world keeps falling for, ranked among the Best Cities in Asia by Travel + Leisure. You can finish by the beach with absolutely nothing planned beyond lunch.

It’s especially good if you’re travelling with friends because there’s enough going on to keep everyone happy. You can have some great nights out, but you can also disappear to a very nice hotel afterwards and recover properly.

10th anniversary → Japan

Japan is a place that gives you so much to talk about and experience together, which is exactly what we want from an anniversary trip.

A few nights exploring Tokyo, slower days in Kyoto, then somewhere peaceful like Hakone,  with an onsen, great food and nowhere you particularly need to be.

Romantic, yes. But not in an obvious way. It feels special because the whole trip becomes part of the memory.

30th anniversary → African Safari

Thirty years together? This is not the time for a trip you could take any year.

An African safari is an experience that genuinely feels as big as the occasion.

This trip can be spent with early morning game drives, sunsets in the middle of nowhere, incredible lodges and those moments where you both just sit there thinking, “are we actually seeing this?”

The right safari can mean beautiful suites, private plunge pools, amazing food and someone handing you a coffee while you prepare for the day ahead.

Babymoon → Maldives

This is your sign to do absolutely nothing.

The Maldives makes the perfect babymoon… once you arrive, everything is taken care of. No complicated plans. No rushing between places. No feeling like you should be sightseeing when what you actually want to do is lie down. It’s the place our clients come back from saying the best part was doing absolutely nothing – and meaning it.
Pick the right resort (this is where we come in) and your days can be as simple as breakfast, swim, lunch, nap, spa, dinner. Repeat.

And considering life is about to get quite a lot busier, we’re very happy with that itinerary.

The biggest decision of the day should be whether you want to sit by the pool or the beach.

Family reunion → Tuscany

This is where the trip itself is only half the job.

You’ve got grandparents, toddlers, teenagers, different flight routes, different ideas of “relaxing” and at least one person who has thoughts about where everyone should stay.

For a big family trip, we love Tuscany because a beautiful private villa gives everyone space while still bringing the group together.

Think long lunches outside, a pool for the kids, local towns to explore and enough bedrooms that nobody has to be too “together.”

The destination is important, but getting the setup right is what makes this kind of trip actually work.

“I finally quit my job” → Bali

Firstly: congratulations!

Second: please do not book a three-night city break.

This calls for time. Proper time.

We’d send you to Bali, but we’d do it slowly. A beautiful stay surrounded by rice fields in Ubud, mornings with nowhere to rush to, good food, massages, a few days by the ocean and a schedule that is suspiciously empty.

Not because you need to “find yourself.”

You just need a minute.

The celebration tells us more than you think.

Where you go matters, but why you’re going matters just as much.

The right trip for a 30th birthday isn’t necessarily the right trip for an anniversary. A family reunion needs a completely different setup to a honeymoon. And sometimes the celebration is simply that you finally have ten days where nobody needs anything from you.

That’s usually where the best trips start.

Tell us what you’re celebrating. We’ll work out where you should go.
